Introducing Legoz

Legoz is the Fraxses platform’s front end and provides the interface to interact with data. It enables users to perform a broad variety of tasks encompassing all aspects of data management. These range from creating, configuring and discovering new data sources, and adding users, roles and organisations, through configuring events, examining data pedigree and creating custom data pipelines, to modelling data, implementing a development strategy and release process for data objects, and more.

Legoz has been designed with ease-of-use as a key consideration, so that Fraxses users can focus on what they want to do with their data rather than how they go about doing it. The introduction of inline editing and intuitive flows in 2023 has further enhanced the user experience, allowing for complex processes to be executed with fewer clicks.

The Legoz menu comprises the following options, each of which facilitates a different function:

Data Sources: This option is used to configure and discover Data Sources, and to view their Attributes and Entities.

Entities: This option allows you to access the Entities within a Data Source directly, rather than via the Data Sources option.

Object Builder: This function allows you to create Data Objects, taking them from development through approval to publication.

Data Pedigree: This option provides a downloadabe data pedigree view that includes metadata, references and dependencies.

Data Objects: This option is for viewing Data Object details and performing management functions such as assigning security access.

Caching Schedules: This option is used to view caching information and schedule configuration, and provides editing capabilities for Admins.

Data Object Import: Used to import single or bulk Data Objects and their metadata, facilitating the management of objects between instances of Fraxses.

Events: This is for viewing and creating events that trigger specific actions within the system, such as cleansing, validating and reformatting data.

Master Data: This allows users to view available Data Types in the system as well as their SQL functions via the respective submenu options.

Security: This option incorporates the Account Management submenu, which is used to manage security access, and Menu Administration.
