Intenda turned 21 this month, and what an adventure it’s been! Our story begins in 2001, when Etienne Fourie and Herman Fick founded Intenda in South Africa. Our UK office was established later that same year. In 2007, we started building our first metadata-driven platform, Devolution. This was a key product for us, and went on to serve as the foundation for our best-known product to date, Fraxses. Since its initial release in 2014, Fraxses has never stopped advancing. It became a data virtualization platform in 2016 and today, it is one of the best data platform solutions in the world.
In terms of our size, profile and reach, the Intenda of 2022 is very different from the company that came into existence back in 2001, but we’ve stayed true to the things we hold dear throughout. We’re grateful for the longstanding partnerships we enjoy with our customers, and proud to be their Partners in Possibility. We’ll always believe in the Power of Discovery. And we’ll never give up in our Pursuit of Progress. These beliefs have guided us over the past 21 years, and will continue to guide us through 2022 and beyond.
